Andrew Ellmaker is a filmmaker and cinematographer from Portland, Oregon. After studying film and painting at the School of the Museum of Fine Art, Boston, he screened video work in the Oregon Biennial as well as two short films at the SXSW Film Festival. Andrew earned an MFA in directing at Columbia University School of Arts, Film Division. Ellmaker’s short film Total Freak was awarded the 20th Century Fox/ Farrelly Brothers Outstanding Achievement in Comedy Award and Best Short Film at the Friars Club Comedy Festival in New York City. Andrew has directed several music videos, including “Electric Band” by Wild Flag. Andrew also served as director of photography on a number of music videos, including A$AP Rocky’s “Angels”. Andrew’s work as commercial director has included spots for Nike Jordan, Chevy, Honda, and Gillette. Andrew recently shot the feature film Holy New York starring Ione Skye and Victor Rasuk.
